Safety and referrals
Our service boundaries are clear: cosmetic and routine care on intact skin, with a medical referral whenever a warning sign appears.
When we must refer you
- Open skin, bleeding, ulcers, or wounds
- Redness, heat, swelling, drainage, or apparent signs of infection
- Severe pain or loss of sensation
- Poor circulation or sudden color or temperature changes
- Diabetes-related or neuropathy-related concerns
What we do not do
Ludeña Foot Care does not diagnose or treat disease, infection, injury, deformity, or medical conditions, and does not perform podiatric or medical services. We do not perform surgery, injections, anesthesia, prescriptions, wound care, removal or extraction of nail tissue, treatment of infection, or procedures that cut or penetrate living skin.
When service is not provided
Services are not performed over open, bleeding, inflamed, hot, swollen, draining, ulcerated, or apparently infected skin or nail tissue. If we observe any of these signs during the pre-service check, the service is postponed.
When to contact a medical professional
We recommend contacting a physician or licensed podiatrist for severe pain, loss of sensation, poor circulation, wounds, sudden color or temperature changes, swelling, drainage, or any diabetes-related concern.
Our pre-service safety screening
Before we begin, we visually check the skin and nails, ask about recent discomfort, and confirm that the service is appropriate. When appropriate, we ask for medical clearance before any routine grooming.
Hygiene
We follow cleaning and disinfection protocols for tools and surfaces between clients, consistent with the practices required for personal-care services in Texas.
