When we must refer you
We do not diagnose fungus or any other condition. Diagnosis belongs to a licensed medical provider.
Appearance says little on its own
A thick, dull, or yellowish nail can reflect very different causes. Interpreting that change without a professional evaluation can lead to wrong conclusions and unnecessary products.
What a cosmetic service is — and is not
Thinning, trimming, and filing are cosmetic services: they improve comfort and maintenance, but they do not treat any condition or change its cause.
- Cosmetic: thinning, trimming, filing, cleansing on intact skin.
- Medical: diagnosing, prescribing, treating a nail condition.
When to see a medical professional
If the change is rapid or painful, comes with redness, swelling, or drainage, or affects the surrounding skin, consult a physician or licensed podiatrist before any cosmetic care.
